Tourists to Japan from 2010 to 2014

 

The line graph gives information about tourism in Japan between 2010 and 2014.

In 2011, the percentage of tourists to Japan decreased dramatically to minus 27.8 percent which was the lowest point in 5 years because of the accident in Fukushima nuclear power station. Subsequently, there was a sharp increase next year with a peak of  34.4 percent in 2012. After that, it was a slight decrease which recovered around 30.0 percent in 2014.

Overall, the proportion of tourists to Japan fluctuated over this period of time with  a steady increase toward the future.
