Summary of Presentation 2 (Irene & Miyuki)


Anyone has potential of hearing loss which is caused by because of ageing, taking antibiotics, and loud noises. Because ear tissues and cellular are extremely sensitive, they could be harmed by small things such as free radicals.
In the modern society, public tend to listen music by small music player such as MPEG Audio Layer 3 (MP3) players and use earphones and headphones which are attached those gadgets. Using earphones and headphones could lead to lose specific band sounds, so everyone have risk of hearing loss when they use convenient tools. According to Coghlan (2006), "Moderate consumption of red wine or aspirin may delay the onset of age-related deafness and reduce hearing loss caused by loud noise and some antibiotics."
In fact, there are researches which have effective outcome to control progressing symptom of hearing loss. Not to mention a polyphenol which is found in red wine could be delayed progressing. A vitamin C and amino acids which are the ingredient of green tea and vegetables are too. So, people could bring back their hearing abilities and beautiful sounds if they drank red wine or green tea and ate green vegetables.

    Because I used second conditional, it is possible situation.
    Should I use first conditional?

    1. I think so , Miyuki. Because you recommend people these measures , they are real and therefore 1 Conditional sounds better.
      e.g. If people eat fruit and vegetables, they will maintain their health.
